Nearly two decades of semi-pro football in Southside Virginia — built on local talent and a winning tradition.

Chris Weeks has been the driving force behind the Virginia Storm from the beginning — as owner, head coach, and the program's biggest believer. In 2008 he was named Mason-Dixon Football League Coach of the Year after leading the Storm to the Southern Conference Championship.
A decade later he did it again, guiding the Storm to the 2018 AFA South Championship — then added more hardware with the 2021 Sunshine Bowl National Bowl Game title. Under his leadership, the team has stayed rooted in the Southside Virginia community — developing local athletes, including former college players and college-eligible talent looking to stay sharp for the next level.
"We want to be part of the community," Weeks has said — and the Storm backs that up every season, on and off the field.
